HTML

It’s a markup language that has evolved over the years.  Earlier it was not even possible to select a word and click a button to make it appear as bold but today that is the simplest form of computer processing and printing.

CSS

CSS is that which is used in laying out web pages and in making them look attractive. Selectors locate items; properties give them the desired set of look. Together it’s called a rule. A developer uses these codes to design a rule. Say for example a rule can be coded to make all headings appear bold and in different color on a web page.

JavaScript

This web programming language helps make web pages more dynamic, useful and easy to navigate.

Most websites today do not use fixed HTML but software programs. Websites like Google and Facebook own secret codes unlike others who rely on the readymade ones known as WordPress, Drupal, DotNetNuke, or Plone which keep changing and are written in all sorts of languages for example PHP, JAVA, Ruby and Perl.
